Job Description :
Responsible for recording and displaying accurate survey data during all stages of a project
Responsible for correct calibration, verification and operation of survey equipment
Expected to work in accordance with company and client HSE policies and procedures at all times, and promote safe working practices amongst other staff
Expected to perform all work on accordance with standard operating and project specific procedures
Duties:
- Participate in daily toolbox talks and pre-shift briefings
- Ensure equipment calibrations and operations are performed according to standard operating and specific project procedures
- Identify, rectify and report unsafe conditions and procedures
- Prepare and submit accurate survey field reports
- Prepare and test equipment prior to mobilization
- Load and unload equipment to/from vessels
- Maintain accurate survey logbooks and records of all survey data acquired, and ensure all data is archived to prevent data loss
- Operate survey and IT equipment and software according to procedures and manufacturers instructions
- Monitor data quality, identify and rectify anomalous or poor quality data
- Process data and procedure charts and project drawings as required
- Attend client meetings as required
- Provide feedback and comments for improvement of project operations, equipment, training and HSE management
Knowledge / Experience / Skills Needed
- Demonstrated commitment to safe working practices
- Ability to communicate effectively in spoken and written English
- Bachelor of Geodetic Engineering or other suitable educations qualification in a relevant field as approved by Managing Director.
